Broun's Four-Way Test
I am committed to protecting the constitutional rights and pocketbooks of every American. I will apply the following four-way test to every piece of legislation that comes before the House for a vote:

1) Is it Moral / Right?                 3) Is it Necessary?
2) Is it Constitutional?                4) Is it Affordable?

Property Rights Action Caucus

I am pleased to announce the formation of the Property Rights Action Caucus. My mission is to help educate elected officials and the public on the importance of property rights and to defend these rights from further erosion through this bi-partisan caucus. Property rights are a bedrock for all rights in a free society and central to the freedom we enjoy as Americans. How we look at property rights is a most basic foundation of our liberty. Our freedoms and liberties are only as secure as our property rights.

Some of the many issues that the caucus will be looking to highlight include, but are not limited to, eminent domain, federal government land and building ownership, downloading of multimedia, the Endangered Species Act, patent reform, pharmaceutical issues, compulsory licensing, the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and other issues involving land rights and intellectual property. I look forward to engaging you all in this ongoing weekly discussion.
