Thank you for your interest in attending the Inauguration of President-elect Barack Obama on January 20th, 2009. The ceremony will be held outdoors on the west side of the U.S. Capitol, and Members of Congress will receive a limited number of free tickets for the U.S. Capitol Grounds and a portion of the National Mall. The remainder of the Mall will be open to the public to attend without tickets.

Congressional offices do not have access to tickets for the Morning Worship Service, Procession to the Capitol, Inaugural Luncheon, Inaugural Parade or Inaugural Balls.

Please be advised that, due to overwhelming demand, our waiting list for inauguration tickets was closed as of 12:00 PM on November 17, 2008. We apologize for any inconvenience and encourage you to visit the 56th Inaugural Website for information on other inaugural events.
