Providing America's  Veterans Real Opportunities

The Subcommittee on Disability Assistance and Memorial Affairs oversees programs administered by the Veterans Benefits Administration, the National Cemetery Administration, and the Board of Veterans’ Appeals.  The Subcommittee also has oversight of Arlington National Cemetery, which is under the jurisdiction of the U.S. Army, and overseas cemeteries under the jurisdiction of the American Battle Monuments Commission.

The Subcommittee on Economic Opportunity oversees programs administered by the Veterans Benefits Administration, as well as veterans’ programs administered by the U.S. Department of Labor, the U.S. Small Business Administration, and the Office of Personnel Management.

Both subcommittees share jurisdiction with the House Armed Services Committee on various matters affecting the All-Volunteer Force.
