What to Expect

If you are a constituent and have a problem that involves a Federal agency, you can call one of my District offices, or mail or fax me a letter detailing the problem you are experiencing.  If you would like to come in to talk to a caseworker, please call to set up an appointment so that we can ensure that the appropriate caseworker is available to meet with you.

When we receive your request, we will send you our Privacy Act Release Form.  This form is required before a Federal agency can give us personal information about your case.  We will also ask for copies of any relevant documents you may have that will help us make an inquiry.

We will then assign a caseworker who will make an inquiry to the relevant federal agency.  We will send you a letter telling you that an inquiry has been made, and tell you which caseworker will be working for you.  The caseworker will keep you posted with any developments.  Absent exigent circumstances, your caseworker will stay the same throughout the duration of the case.

Once the matter is resolved, we will forward to you the Agency’s response.  If you have additional problems, either with the matter you initially contacted us about, or another problem involving a Federal agency, please feel free to contact one of my District Offices again.
