The Fort Bend County portion of District 22 includes the University of Houston-Sugar Land, Wharton County Junior College, and multiple branches of Houston Community College.  The county is also home to a number of local parks covering 2,461 acres, of which 2,200 are wetlands.  Fort Bend County is also home to Brazos Bend State park.  The park covers approximately 5000 acres, and offers camping, hiking, biking, and guided tours.
