The House Natural Resources Committee, Subcommittee on National Parks, Forests and Public Lands, led by Chairman Raul Grijalva (D-AZ), will hold a legislative hearing on the following bills:
  • H.R. 554 (McGovern): To provide for the protection of paleontological resources on Federal lands, and for other purposes. (Paleontological Resources Preservation Act)
  • H.R. 986 (Courtney), To amend the Wild and Scenic Rivers Act to designate certain segments of the Eightmile River in the State of Connecticut as components of the National Wild and Scenic Rivers System, and for other purposes. (Eighmile Wild and Scenic River Act)
  • H.R. 1100 (Shuler), To revise the boundary of the Carl Sandburg Home National Historic Site in the State of North Carolina, and for other purposes. (Carl Sandburg Home National Historic Site Boundary Revision Act of 2007)
  • H.R. 1285 (Hastings), To provide for the conveyance of a parcel of the National Forest System land in Kittitas County, Washington, to facilitate the construction of a new fire and rescue station, and for other purposes. (Snoqualmie Pass Land Conveyance Act)
