The House Natural Resources Committee, led by Chairman Nick J. Rahall (D-WV), will meet in open markup session to mark up the following bills:
  • H.R. 53 (Christensen): To authorize the Secretary of the Interior to enter into a long-term lease with the Government of the United States Virgin Islands to provide land on the island of Saint John, Virgin Islands, for the establishment of a school, and for other purposes.   • H.R. 3111 (Miller): To provide for the administration of Port Chicago Naval Magazine National Memorial as a unit of the National Park System, and for other purposes. (Port Chicago Naval Magazine National Memorial Enhancement Act of 2007)

  • H.R. 783 (Salazar): To modify the boundary of Mesa Verde National Park, and for other purposes. (Mesa Verde National Park Boundary Expansion Act of 2007)

  • H.R. 1528 (Olver): To amend the National Trails System Act to designate the New England National Scenic Trail, and for other purposes. (New England National Scenic Trail Designation Act)

  • H.R. 2094 (Moore): To provide for certain administrative and support services for the Dwight D. Eisenhower Memorial Commission, and for other purposes.

  • H.R. 2197 (Space): To modify the boundary of the Hopewell Culture National Historical Park in the State of Ohio, and for other purposes. (Hopewell Culture National Historical Park Boundary Adjustment Act)

  • H.R. 523 (Hastings): To require the Secretary of the Interior to convey certain public land located wholly or partially within the boundaries of the Wells Hydroelectric Project of Public Utility District No. 1 of Douglas County, Washington, to the utility district. (Douglas County, Washington, PUD Conveyance Act)

  • H.R. 1462 (M. Udall): To authorize the Secretary of the Interior to participate in the implementation of the Platte River Recovery Implementation Program for Endangered Species in the Central and Lower Platte River Basin and to modify the Pathfinder Dam and Reservoir. (Platte River Recovery Implementation Program and Pathfinder Modification Authorization Act)

  • H.R. 29 (Issa): To authorize the Secretary of the Interior to construct facilities to provide water for irrigation, municipal, domestic, military, and other uses from the Santa Margarita River, California, and for other purposes.

  • H.R. 135 (Linder): To establish the Twenty-First Century Water Commission to study and develop recommendations for a comprehensive water strategy to address future water needs. (Twenty-First Century Water Commission Act of 2007)

  • H.R. 664 (Campbell): To amend the Water Desalination Act of 1996 to authorize the Secretary of the Interior to assist in research and development, environmental and feasibility studies, and preliminary engineering for the Municipal Water District of Orange County, California, Dana Point Desalination Project located at Dana Point, California. (Dana Point Desalination Project Authorization Act)
