Workshops for U.S. Steel Workers
U.S. Steel has announced that it will be temporarily idling several of its plants, including the Granite City Works. This will result in layoffs of nearly all the workers at that facility.
Madison County Employment and Training Department is scheduling workshops for laid off workers over the next several weeks to coincide with the scheduled rounds of layoffs. The workshops will be held at:
Tri-City Labor Temple
2014 State Street
Granite City, Illlinois
The first workshops will be:
Monday, Dec. 8th
Tuesday, Dec. 9th
9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.
