Last night I was on Rachel Maddow's show on MSNBC. Rachel felt like the Democrats caved to the Republicans on Energy and needed to be "talked down". The comprehensive energy package lowers gas prices in the short term while investing in a clean energy future. In addition, this bill allows responsible drilling in the short term while decreasing our dependence on foreign oil and increasing our use of renewable energy such as wind and solar, and yes I even went on to talk about the promising research in biofuels and algae.
