U.S. Service Academy Nominations

One of my great honors as a United States Representative is the opportunity to nominate the finest young men and women in the Seventh Congressional District to one of the United States Service Academies.

Represented Service Academies:

United States Air Force Academy
United States Coast Guard Academy
United States Merchant Marine Academy
United States Military Academy
United States Naval Academy

For further information, please call Congressman Blackburn’s office at (615) 591-5161

Admission to one of the service academies requires both a nomination from one your nominating authorities and an appointment from the academy you wish to attend. I would strongly suggest that you also contact your Senators to request a nomination and contact the academies to express your interest.

To apply for a nomination through my office, you will be required to completely fill out the attached application packet. To be eligible for appointment, you must be an American citizen, at least 17 years old and not yet 23 years old on July 1 of the year you enter an academy. Also, you must have no legal obligation to support children or other dependents.

All applications must be completed and sent to my Franklin, Tennessee office by October 31. My office will conduct interviews during the months of November and December. The nominations will be announced in January.

If you have any questions or comments regarding the nomination process, please do not hesitate to contact the Academy Coordinator in my Franklin Office at (615) 591-5161. I look forward to receiving your application packet.
