Caucus Memberships

Republican Study Committee: a group of over 110 House Republicans organized for the purpose of advancing a conservative social and economic agenda in the House of Representatives. The Republican Study Committee is dedicated to:
-a limited and Constitutional role for the federal government
-a strong national defense
-the protection of individual and property rights
-the preservation of traditional family values

House Anti-Terrorism Caucus: serves to educate Members of Congress, their staff and the general public about the threats to our country that are fueled by extremist ideologies. The Caucus recognizes that terrorism is not a Democrat or Republican problem; it is a critical issue for all Americans. The Caucus facilitates an educational process and healthy exchange of ideas in a bipartisan setting.


Bipartisan Congressional Pro-Life Caucus: composed of Members of Congress dedicated to promoting a pro-life message in Washington D.C. and throughout the nation.   


Congressional Prayer Caucus
: purposes of the Congressional Prayer Caucus are to:

-recognize the vital role that prayer by individuals of all faiths has played in uniting us as a people and in making us a more generous, more cooperative, and more forgiving people than we might otherwise have been

-collect, exchange, and disseminate information about prayer as a fundamental and enduring feature of American life

-use the legislative process – both through sponsorship of affirmative legislation and through opposition to detrimental legislation – to assist the nation and its people in continuing to draw upon and benefit from this essential source of our strength and well-being

House Republican New Media Caucus
As new media technologies emerge, some Americans are shifting from traditional media outlets to “new” media applications to receive news.  In order to keep up with emerging information technologies, the House Republican New Media Caucus provides information and strategies for Members to expand communications with their constituents utilizing these new outlets.  Calling for an update of ethics rules to comply with these new media outlets, this caucus’ goal aligns with Congressman Lamborn’s priority of active constituent communication.


Congressional Caucus on India and Indian Americans
:  this Caucus on India and Indian-Americans serves as a forum in which Members of Congress may address the concerns important to the South Asian nation.  Dialogue ensues on pertinent issues of interest to India and the Indian-American community, the Caucus strives to strengthen bilateral relations between the United States and India, promote trade with India, enhance economic development in India, and enhance the overall standard of living for Indians and Indian-Americans.


Constitution Caucus:

a forum to ensure that the Federal government is operating under the intent of the Tenth Amendment of our Bill of Rights.

Immigration Reform Caucus: established in May 1999 to review current immigration policy, to initiate new immigration policy and to create a much-needed forum in Congress to address both the positive and negative consequences of immigration.


Values Action Team: goal of this group is to unite conservative Members of Congress with pro-family coalitions by establishing legislative goals, identifying key tasks for Members and coalitions to perform, and executing action items that would lead to conservative victories. VAT has successfully followed this model, achieving pro-life/pro-family victories since the 2nd session of the 105th Congress.


House Republican Israel Caucus:  educates Members on the importance of U.S./Israel relations and to act as a clearinghouse for information on the Middle East peace process.


House Army Caucus: a group of bipartisan Members that support Army policies in Congress.


House Air Force Caucus: provides a forum for Air Force leaders, the Air Force Association, and Members of Congress to share, discuss and act on the full spectrum of issues facing our Air Force family.


Space Power Caucus: provides a forum to educate members of Congress on the capabilities of military space programs, what those programs contribute to the war-fighting ability of the armed forces and how those capabilities contribute to the everyday benefit of the United States through other means.

Missile Defense Caucus (co-founder, co-chairman): group organized to promote plans for a missile interceptor system to protect the United States. The caucus seeks to boost the U.S. missile defense program. Caucus members are committed to providing for the defense of the American people, war fighters and national interests by supporting a layered and robust missile defense that utilizes land, air, sea and space.

Congressional Taiwan Caucus: aims to promote closer ties between Taiwan and the United States, promoting issues of mutual concern such as trade, democracy, and defense.  The caucus tries to promote an American foreign policy that recognizes the strong ties of the two countries, prosperous free market economy, human rights, and free trade.  


International Conservation Congressional Caucus: committed to helping the United States lead public and private international partnerships that provide stewardship of natural resources for habitat and bio-diversity protection, poverty reduction, economic development and regional security.


Water Caucus: group committed to utilizing all avenues to provide sufficient water supply for urban and rural areas, considering all available technologies for increasing water supply efficiently while safeguarding the environment, and implementing strategies to improve efficiencies.


Congressional Second Amendment Caucus:  solely dedicated to the right of lawful individuals to own firearms as granted in the Second Amendment of the U.S. Constitution.

 

Congressional Caucus on Armenian Issues: the Congressional Caucus on Armenian Issues educates members of Congress about Armenian American concerns and promotes a closer U.S.–Armenia relationship.


Congressional Real Estate Caucus: serves as a forum for members of Congress and real estate professionals to discuss federal policy and its impact on the nation's real estate industry.


Congressional Down Syndrome Caucus: designed to educate members of Congress and their staff about Down syndrome and to promote public policies that would enhance the quality of life for individuals with Down syndrome.
