The spring semester begins around mid-January and lasts through mid-May. The fall semester begins around mid-August and lasts through mid-December. The summer time is generally the most competitive  internships on Capitol Hill. The summer semester is from the end of May until the beginning of August.

All students, regardless of school location, are encouraged to apply. Students with Illinois ties are preferred, but not required.
