| HERSETH SANDLIN ANNOUNCES $53,000 ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT GRANT FOR PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT III December 9, 2008-Washington, DC-Today, Rep. Herseth Sandlin announced that Planning and Development District III is the recipient of an Economic Development District Planning Grant in the amount of $53,000. This funding will assist District III in establishing an economic development planning framework, process and strategy that supports private capital investment and job creation in the region which includes Aurora, Bon Homme, Brule, Buffalo, Charles Mix, Davison, Douglas, Gregory, Hanson, Hutchison, Jerauld, Lyman, Sanborn, Tripp and Yankton counties. “With the help of this funding, communities across South Dakota served by District III will have a greater ability to plan for their economic future, realize their goals and improve their communities,” Rep. Herseth Sandlin said. The Economic Development District Planning program is administered by the U.S. Department of Commerce Economic Development Administration (EDA). ###
