Tours Available Through Congressional Offices

While specific tour times and dates cannot be guaranteed, below is information on the tours that my office can assist with scheduling on your behalf during your trip to Washington.

United States Capitol
Monday through Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Congressman McCarthy's office can offer staff led tours to constituents.  Tours are approximately 1.5 hours long.  Visitors will also receive a gallery pass to view the House floor. 

The White House
Congressional offices can request East Wing White House tours for constituents and 6 months advance notice is preferable.  (Note: tours are extremely limited and groups with approved tours are subject to background security checks and last minute cancellation due to special events, emergencies, etc.)

Library of Congress
The Library of Congress is the world's largest and most open research library, millions of scholars, readers and tourists visit the Library of Congress annually.  Our country's national library contains over 75 million volumes.  
The Library of Congress offers special Congressional tours at 8:30 a.m. 1:45 p.m. and 3:45 p.m., Monday through Friday, when requested through Congressman McCarthy.

The Bureau of Engraving & Printing
See how United States paper currency is printed.  School groups or small groups (10 or less) can have Members of Congress request a Congressional tour.  Tours are offered Monday through Friday, and advance notice is preferred as space is limited.

National Cathedral
The National Cathedral is the second-largest Gothic cathedral in the United States.  From the cathedral, you may view the nation's capitol or simply enjoy the peaceful gardens and the beauty of the cathedral.
The National Cathedral offers Congressional tours, Monday and Wednesday, beginning promptly at 9 a.m.  Regular fees apply ($3 per adult, $2 per senior citizen, and $1 per child).
