Washington, D.C. - Congresswoman Marcia L. Fudge has hired Dawn Kelly Mobley to serve as Chief of Staff of the Eleventh Congressional District Office of Ohio.

A graduate of the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill, Dawn received her Juris Doctorate from North Carolina Central School of Law. She is licensed to practice law in both Ohio and North Carolina.

Dawn has served in a variety of capacities in the legal field and brings a broad base of over 20 years of experience to her new position. She began her career in the Office of the District Attorney of North Carolina as a trial lawyer. She went on to serve in the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office where she gained valuable trial experience in the areas of homicide, rape, felony and narcotics cases. She later returned to the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s office as a supervisor of Felony and Juvenile Justice Sections.

Dawn currently serves as the Coordinator of Project Safe Neighborhoods and Sixth District Community Prosecutor within the U.S. Attorney’s Office at the U.S. Department of Justice. In this capacity, her responsibilities entail overseeing the Project Safe Neighborhoods Homicide Reduction Strategy, Project LEAD, Weed and Seed, and District Court cases.  She previously served in the U.S. Attorney’s Office from 1995 through 1999 handling appellate, misdemeanor, felony and grand jury cases.

She is the recipient of numerous awards including the 2005 Sixth District Outstanding Service/Litigation Awards and the Community Justice Advisory Network Award in both 2005 and 2006.

Most recently, Dawn served as Personal Counsel to Chairwoman Stephanie Tubbs Jones, at the Committee on Standards of Official Conduct (Ethics). Dawn is excited to continue serving the people of the Eleventh Congressional District and Congresswoman Marcia L. Fudge.
