(Washington, DC) - Congressman Baron Hill is pleased to announce the grand opening of the U.S. Capitol Visitor Center (CVC) today. This new building will significantly enhance both the entire Capitol complex and the Washington experience for visitors.
“After several years of waiting in anticipation, I’m very pleased to announce that today the new Capitol Visitor Center officially opens,” Hill said. “It is a magnificent building that provides visitors with an in-depth knowledge of the Capitol’s history.”
While the CVC does allow for self-scheduled tours, Hill asks that constituents still contact his Washington office, (202) 225-5315, so his staff can facilitate this. Visitors must still get passes to the House Gallery from the congressional offices, and Hill also wants to make sure he knows when folks from the district are coming to Washington.
The CVC offers a variety of services. To learn more about the new building, please visit the web site, http://www.visitthecapitol.gov/.
