Thursday, October 23, 2008

Washington, DC -- Congressman Bob Latta (R-Bowling Green) received the National Association of Manufacturers award for Manufacturing Legislative Excellence today during a ceremony at the Eaton Corporation in Van Wert, Ohio.

The Manufacturing Legislative Excellence award is given to members of Congress who score a 70 percent or higher score on key manufacturing votes as determined by the National Association of Manufacturers.  Congressman Latta scored a 90 percent, reflecting consistent support for pro-growth, pro-jobs policy agendas.

“It is an honor to receive this award from the National Association of Manufacturers.  Ohio’s Fifth District is one of the top manufacturing congressional districts in the country, and I am proud to support policies that promote economic growth and job creation which benefits manufacturers not only in my district, but across the United States.  These policies are especially important to keep the United States competitive in the global economy as we continue to improve our technology, infrastructure, and workforce,” Latta said today during the award ceremony.
