Family Washington, D.C. Visitor's Guide

To request family tours from my office please use this form and send me your contact information, the number of people in your party, and a list of dates you will be available to tour. Please only request tours on the days you will be in Washington. Congressional tours can begin as early as 7:30 a.m. Please fax the form to me at (202) 225-4381. Once faxed, please call my D.C. office at (202) 225-2571 to confirm receipt of your information.

To request group tours, the organization you are traveling with must be located in the 7th Congressional District of Texas. Due to Congressional courtesy, groups not located in the district will be referred to the appropriate Congressional office. If you are planning a group tour, please visit the Group Tour Visitor's Guide for more information.

The White House

Constituents interested in requesting a White House tour should contact our Washington office at least six months in advance, in accordance with White House policy. Our office can file a request with the White House as late as four months before the tour. However, the earlier you contact my office to file a White House tour request, the more likely your tour will be scheduled. For holidays and peak tour season times, we suggest constituents request a tour as early as possible. The White House recieves over 1,000 tour requests a day and only has the capacity to accept 20 percent of all requests.

Groups of 10 or more may request a White House tour. If you do not have a group of 10, we try to match guests in our district with others wanting to tour the White House.

Tours are offered Tuesday through Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and are scheduled on a first come-first served basis. The White House chooses the tour time on the date selected. The White House may deny a request due to the overwhelming number of requests the Visitor's Office receives.

To request a White House tour, you must provide my office with the following information:

        • Full legal name, no initals are accepted
        • Social Security Number
        • Date of Birth
        • Country of origin
        • City and state of residency
        • If a guest is not a citizen, please submit country of origin and a passport number in place of a social security number.

The Annual White House Garden Tours will take place on Saturdays, June 14, July 12 and August 9, from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. For more information, please visit the White House website.
