I encourage young people who are interested in public service to apply for an internship in my office.
Internships are available to undergraduate college students in my Washington, D.C. office, as well as my four state offices – located in San Francisco, Los Angeles, San Diego, and Fresno.
Working with the Washington, D.C. staff gives students a chance to see how the Senate functions and how it interacts with the House of Representatives and the executive and judicial branches.
Working in one of the state offices provides a local perspective on how my office assists constituents resolve issues they have with the federal government.
