As a member of the Senate Armed Services Committee and as Chairman of the Subcommittee on Personnel, Senator Chambliss is committed to ensuring and improving the quality of life for our best equipped, best trained, best prepared fighting force in the world. As a steadfast advocate for all of Georgia’s 13 military installations, Senator Chambliss remains committed to ensuring Georgia’s bases have the right missions and resources they need to continue making critical contributions to our national security. Through frequent base tours and visits with military officials, family groups and troops, Senator Chambliss regularly hears first hand the concerns of our military men and women. With successful military campaigns in Iraq and Afghanistan, Georgia’s troops led the way, made key contributions and have a lot to brag about. Additionally, Senator Chambliss is a staunch supporter of the finest military aircraft worked on and made in Georgia – C-130s, F-22a and C-17s.
