Honoring our Veterans

Veterans Day 2008

This Veterans Day, all Americans must pause and remember the sacrifices made by our Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, Marines, and Coast Guardsmen who have served their nation with dedication and honor. America has been blessed with generation after generation of young people who have heeded the call to America’s defense.

American veterans have preserved the liberty and freedom our forefathers fought so earnestly to attain. From the battlefields of Lexington and Concord, to Gettysburg, and the beaches of Normandy, American Veterans have stood tall against those who threaten the values we as citizens of the United States of America cherish so dearly.
I want to personally thank our 25 million living veterans, those who have gone before us, and their families who have served faithfully and dutifully. The sacrifices you have made have allowed countless others to benefit from the blessings of freedom and liberty that we enjoy daily in the United States.

It is my distinct honor to recognize America’s Veterans and the Veterans in the 48th District of California. May God bless our Veterans, and may God continue to bless the United States of America.

I remain respectfully,
John Campbell
