Information regarding the upcoming Presidential Inauguration: Tickets for the Inaugural swearing-in ceremony will be distributed in January 2009 by both Senators and Representatives of the 111th Congress and tickets are free of charge. Each Congressional office receives only a limited number of tickets for the Inaugural swearing-in ceremony and unfortunately, requests have now exceeded the total number of tickets available through this office. Requests will be honored in the order they were received. Please visit the Inauguration Committee or the Presidential Inauguration Committee web sites for more information on events happening around Washington during Inauguration Week.

Foreclosure Assistance: Floridians seeking foreclosure prevention advice and assistance should be careful who they call for help. Contact your lender as soon as possible if you are experiencing difficulties with your mortgage payments and contact the Homeowners HOPE Hotline (1-888-995-HOPE) to receive free personal and confidential assistance from nonprofit housing counselors. Also, when calling the HOPE Hotline, dial the number carefully as copycat groups have set up nearly identical numbers. Click here for more information.
