Education Issues

Budget

Republicans in Congress have coupled their significant education reform efforts with an unprecedented commitment to provide more resources for education as well.  When it comes to our nation’s schools – on all levels – more than ever is being spent…and, indeed, more than ever is being expected.

Simply spending more money is not the answer to the problems facing America’s education system, however, and that’s why reinforcing high standards, accountability for results, and increased parental involvement are all essential to improving U.S. schools.  In the 110th Congress, Republicans will not lose sight of the fact that resources alone are not the answer; reform is.
