WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congresswoman Lois Capps released the following statement hailing the President’s signing of S. 2739, the Consolidated Natural Resources Act of 2008 which includes her bill H.R. 276, the Piedras Blancas Historic Light Station Outstanding Natural Area Act:

“I’m thrilled that this excellent legislation to help preserve Piedras Blancas Light Station is now law.  This designation will help us better protect this majestic jewel of the Central Coast for future generations.”
