Credentialing Information for the 2009 Presidential
Inauguration Ceremony
- Persons eligible to apply for credentials MUST be
bona fide news photographers of reputable standing, giving their chief
attention to the gathering and reporting of news.
For more information regarding criteria, please consult The
Rules of the Standing Committee of Press Photographers.

- The First step in applying for credentials through the
Press Photographers' Gallery is to CLICK
HERE for the Inauguration Application Form.
- Your request must include the following:
- 1) Organization/Publication name
- 2) Contact name, email address and phone number
- 3) Publication address

- Please note you must apply through the appropriate
media gallery:

- Your request MUST be submitted by December 15, 2008. Once you have successfully submitted your request, you will receive
a confirmation email. If you do not receive the confirmation email, your
application was not successfully submitted.
- Please note that submitting a request does not guarantee
that you will be granted credentials.

- Additional Information
- The Presidential Inagural Committee (PIC) is a not-for-profit
committee that represents the president-elect. We will post thier link
when their website becomes active. The Presidential Inaugural Committee
is responsible for planning and executing inaugural activities in the nations
capital. (This includes balls, parades, galas, and parties)
- The Joint
Congressional Committee On Inaugural Ceremonies (JCCIC) is responsible
for all inauguration activities at the United States Capitol, including
the swearing-in ceremony.
- The
Armed Forces Inaugural Committee (AFIC) is a joint
service committee charged with coordinating all military ceremonial support
for the presidential inaugural.
