In recognition of the local company´s export accomplishments, DuraTite was presented with the U.S. Commercial Service´s Export Achievement Award.

February 4, 2008 - U.S. Rep. Phil English joins seniors at the Pennbriar Athletic Club in Erie, Pa. While there, English accepted the Medicare Choices Leadership Award for voting against significant cuts in Medicare that would limit health care choices for seniors. The award was presented to me by Raymond and Virginia Simpson of Harbor Creek who are members of the National Coalition for Medicare Choices.

February 15, 2007 - U.S. Rep. Phil English (R-Pa.) joins U.S. Rep. Stephanie Tubbs Jones (D-Ohio) and Richard Moe, President of the National Trust for Historic Preservation during the announcement of H.R. 1043, the Community Restoration and Rehabilitation Act of 2007. This bipartisan bill improves the existing historic preservation tax credit (rehab credit) for the restoration and rehabilitation of the nation's vacant and underutilized historic buildings.

Phil English (R-Pa.) for his work on the Medigap Access Improvement Act, legislation to expand access to Medigap supplemental insurance to include all Americans with disabilities.
August 8, 2006 - U.S. Rep. Phil English (Pa.-03) joins U.S. Reps. Melissa Hart (Pa.-04) and Tim Murphy (Pa.18) in announcing their support for H.R. 4560, the Clean Water Trust Act, legislation to establish the Clean Water Trust Fund - a $7.5 billion annual fund dedicated to clean water infrastructure programs, at a press event at ALCOSAN in Pittsburgh, Pa.
March 4, 2006 - U.S. Rep. Phil English joins a Congressional delegation in conducting on-site reviews of immigration issues at the Arizona-Sonora border. The members met with local officials, social service providers and residents to get their local perspective. To see first-hand the practice and enforcement of current border security regulations, English toured the border in a Blackhawk helicopter and participated in a night time ground patrol.
February 15, 2006 - U.S. Rep. Phil English and Lt. Commander Michael Baker along with an adventuring penguin sent out by first graders at Our Lady's Christian School in Erie, Pa. The penguin travels the country, collecting souvenirs to share with the students to help them learn more about the world we live in today. While visiting Rep. English, the penguin received a copy of the book House Mouse, Senate Mouse.
February 13, 2006 - After entering into a friendly wager as to who would be the next Super Bowl XL champion, U.S. Rep. Phil English (R-Pa.) meets with Seattle Seahawks fan, U.S. Rep. Dave Reichert (R-Was.) to collect his prize of a case of the Seattle based Starbuck's coffee. The Pittsburgh Steelers won the Super Bowl XL championship title on February 5, 2006.

January 20, 2005 - U.S. Rep. Phil English along with Shannon Swanson, DO, Deborah Murray, DO, Angela Bontempo, Saint Vincent Health System president and CEO, Eric Vinson, DO, Sen. Rick Santorum, and Matthew McCarthy, DO during St. Vincent Health System's announcement of the Center for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) for the addition of 21 new physician residents at the health Center. At the end of the announcement, Angela Bontempo declared Rep. Phil English, Sen. Rick Santorum and Sen. Arlen Specter Honorary Health Care Champions.
January 5, 2006 - U.S. Rep. Phil English presents a check to the Housing and Neighborhood Development Service at the Federal Home Loan Bank's Affordable Housing Town Hall at Edinboro University.
August 5, 2005 - U.S. Rep. Phil English (R-PA) in Warren County, announcing $2.254 million in federal funds for the Impact Warren Multimodal Transit Center. The funds were earmarked in the final version of the Transportation and Equity Act:A Legacy of Users which was approved by Congress on July 29,2005.

Phil English (R-PA) presented Tom Pherson, President and Co-Owner of Intelligent Manufacturing Solutions with the 3rd Annual Export Achievement Award at his Business Development Conference and Expo at Gannon University. Intelligent Manufacturing Solutions is a small, newly established company located in Erie that develops software which allows manufacturers and customers to view the progress, productivity, and performance of an assembly line in real time while providing 100% traceability.
July 14, 2005 - U.S. Rep. Phil English (R-PA) joined by House Ways and Means Chairman Bill Thomas (R-CA) at a press conference to announce H.R. 3283, the United States Trade Rights Enforcement Act, comprehensive trade legislation that would create concrete mechanisms to ensure China abides by previous commitments.
June 21, 2005 - U.S. Rep. Phil English (R-PA) along with Reps. Mark Green (R-WI), Chris Chocola (R-IN) and Robin Hayes (R-NC) at a press conference in the U.S. Capitol building announcing English's bill, H.R. 3004, the Currency Harmonization Initiative through Neutralizing Action (CHINA) Act of 2005, to impose automatic tariffs if the Treasury Department finds China's exchange rate policy conforms with the WTO definition of currency manipulation.
