Rep. Scott Honored by the American Bar Association

WASHINGTON, DC - On Thursday, April 16, 2008, Congressman Robert C. “Bobby” Scott (D-VA-03) was honored by the American Bar Association (ABA) for his efforts to improve the American justice system.  The award recognized Congressman Scott’s efforts to protect attorney client privilege, provide funding for the Legal Services Corporation so that Americans of limited means have access to attorneys, and address inequities in the juvenile and criminal justice systems.

 

The award states:  “The American Bar Association commends the Honorable Robert C. “Bobby” Scott, U.S. House of Representatives, for his dedication to public service and his commitment to Equal Justice for All.”

 

Fellow awardees at the reception held in Washington, D.C. included Senators Pete Domenici (R-NM), Patrick Leahy (D-VT) and Arlen Specter (R-PA), and retiring Representative Jim Ramstad (R-MN).
