WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Jerrold Nadler (NY-08) is pleased to announce that Ari Goldberg will be his new Communications Director.  Mr. Goldberg was formerly the Senior Public Affairs Officer at the National Democratic Institute for International Affairs (NDI), an NGO chaired by Madeleine K. Albright that helps people build more democratic societies overseas.  He was also a television producer for C-SPAN and BBC News in Jerusalem.  Mr. Goldberg studied broadcasting at the University of Texas at Austin and received a Master’s in Hebrew Literature from Cambridge University.  He previously worked on the Hill for Reps. Howard Berman (CA-28) and Jane Harman (CA-36).

Congressman Nadler is also pleased to welcome Carole Angel as his new Legislative Assistant handling the Judiciary Committee and International Relations.  Ms. Angel previously worked as a staff attorney for Legal Momentum (formerly NOW Legal Defense Fund), the nation’s oldest women’s legal rights organization. She has drafted and advocated for immigration provisions in the reauthorization of the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) and has worked with Congress to strengthen and improve immigration protections for victims of abuse, domestic violence, human trafficking and other crimes.  Ms. Angel received her law degree from the University of Maryland School Of Law.

In the Manhattan office, Congressman Nadler is happy to announce that Erin Drinkwater has been hired as a Community Representative.  Until recently, Ms. Drinkwater was Sean Patrick Maloney's Policy Director on his campaign for New York State Attorney General.  Before moving to New York, Erin taught Environmental Education in Northern New Jersey.  She completed her BA at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh as well as a Master’s Certificate in Conflict Resolution and Peace Studies.  Every year, Erin volunteers with a medical mission providing services in the Dominican Republic and Haiti.
