Rep. Nadler Statement on MTA Decision on West Side Yard Development

NEW YORK CITY – Congressman Jerrold Nadler (NY-08), the highest ranking member from New York to serve on the House Transportation Committee, today welcomed the decision by the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) to publicly release the “Project Profile” portion of all Requests for Proposals for the development of the West Side Yard (WSY).  

“I applaud the MTA and Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer Elliot Sander for bringing transparency to this process,” said Rep. Nadler.  “The public has a right to know what options the MTA is considering as part of this large-scale development.  Release of this information will enable the public to assess how each proposer envisions the future of the West Side Yard and handles competing public priorities.”
