Today’s Senate vote to confirm Judge Leslie Southwick to the Fifth Circuit Court, which includes Mississippi, Texas, and Louisiana, will further mar our judicial system and jeopardize the lives and liberties of Americans. Judge Southwick’s judicial temperament has unfairly punished women, the environment, the workplace, gender equity, civil rights, and equal justice under the law for American citizens.
