Immigrants have and continue to make great contributions to our society. Earned legalization measures allow those who have waited patiently and have abided by our national immigration laws to come one step closer to making the American dream a reality.

The United States and Mexico need to work together to crack down on the smuggling of immigrants across our border. I believe our nation's borders should be strengthened and the proper way in securing the border is to increase the number of United States Border Patrol agents. I have and will continue to support efforts that would increase the number of Border Patrol agents and appropriate more funding for border construction that would deter illegal immigration.
