Houston, TX- Congressman Gene Green (D-Houston), in conjunction with the League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC) Council 402, will host one of a series of Town Hall meetings at the Department of Education Building. Residents of the 29th Congressional District are encouraged to attend in order to express their views and concerns. Congressman Gene Green will also discuss a myriad of issues such as his recent visit to Iraq, the new Prescription Drug Plan and Federal government wiretaps. “We always get a great response to our Town Hall meetings,” said Rep. Gene Green. “It allows me the opportunity to visit with members of our community. I’m able to discuss issues that concern them as well as discuss issues that I’m working on in Washington.”
Congressman Gene Green will have on hand a television, on mute of course, tuned to this years Rose Bowl, where he will be giving his full support to the University of Texas against USC and constituents can follow the game and do their civic duty.
“This is an exciting game and an exciting time for Texas,” continued Congressman Green. “I know that there will be folks in attendance that will be anxious to know what is going on not only in government but also in the game.”
