As the father of two, I certainly understand the challenges faced by parents and teachers. After a 26 year career as an educator, my wife Helen retired from teaching high school Algebra in the Aldine School District. Her experiences, along with my own as a parent, have made me particularly aware of the importance of education and how essential it is that parents and teachers work together for our children's futures.
