For residents of the 29th District of Texas interested in applying to one of the Service Academies, my office may be able to provide nominations for those qualified for acceptance. The Academies include:

• U.S. Air Force Academy
  Colorado Springs, CO

• U.S. Merchant Marine
  Kings Point, NY

• U.S. Military Academy
  West Point, NY

• U.S. Naval Academy
  Annapolis, MD

All candidates seeking nominations must be U.S. citizens and at least 17 years old and not past their 22nd birthday on July 1st of the year of admission to the academy. For students interested in applying, it is best to contact us during their junior year. Files must be completed and all information submitted by December 31st. Admission to the Service Academies is very competitive. The application process is intricate, but the rewards for those accepted are great.
