Chabot Hosts Military Academy Night
February 21, 2008

Cincinnati, OH -- Congressman Steve Chabot held a Military Academy Night for all Cincinnati-area high school and junior high school students interested in attending a military service academy. The event gave students and parents an opportunity to meet with representatives from all five U.S. military academies: West Point, the Naval Academy, the Air Force Academy, the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, and the U.S. Coast Guard Academy.

"I am proud to see all of the students here tonight who are interested in serving their country," said Congressman Chabot. "The service academies offer a great education, a chance to develop valuable leadership skills and some of the best training in the world."

Prospective students must be nominated by their Congressman, Senator, or the Vice President of the United States in order to attend a service academy.  At the event, Congressman Chabot and his staff helped familiarize students with the service academy nomination process.  Interested students and parents can contact Congressman Chabot’s office at 684-2723 for more information.
