Little Rock, AR – U.S. Representative Vic Snyder will present the Purple Heart Medal to Mr. Nick Bacon, a Vietnam War Medal of Honor recipient. The ceremony will take place in the Old Supreme Court Chamber of the Arkansas State Capitol at 12:00 noon on Saturday, February 2, 2008.

Mr. Bacon had never received this Purple Heart for injuries suffered during his extensive combat experience in Vietnam. He contacted Congressman Snyder’s office for assistance in petitioning the Army Board for Corrections of Military Records. The Board reviewed his military records and ordered that the Army award him the Purple Heart.
