CONGRESSMAN LINCOLN DAVIS ANNOUNCES PROCUREMENT/GRANT CONFERENCEJuly 09, 2007

-- U.S. Rep. Lincoln Davis announces his 4th Annual Procurement/Grant Conference to be held on August 8, 9, & 10th at the Coffee County Conference Center in Manchester, Tennessee (Just off I-24 at Exit 114).

The conference will be broken into two tracks. One will assist small and medium sized businesses in working with the government. Special emphasis is being placed on helping veterans who own and are looking to expand their businesses with landing grants and contracts from local, state and federal government agencies. The second track will focus on federal grants for community organizations and local governments.

Congressman Lincoln Davis will be in attendance at this exciting event.

The conference will explore: Doing Business with The Government, Small Business Administration Services, Rural Development Funding, Department of Justice programs, ORNL Small Business Innovative Research Program (SBIR), UT-Battelle and Your Business, Protecting Your Business in Today’s World, National & Community Service, Homeland Security Funding, Y-12, Doing Business with General Services Administration, Appalachian Regional Commission, Contracting with AEDC and NASA, and Grant Proposal Writing. Tours of AEDC, Jack Daniels, and George Dickel are being offered the last day of the conference, August 10th.

The University of Tennessee’s Center for Industrial Services, along with The Tennessee Valley Authority, Manchester Chamber of Commerce, Arnold Air Force Base, and the Y-12 National Security Complex at Oak Ridge are major co-sponsors of the event.
