Davis Announces ARC Grant for Clarkrange Business Park September 28, 2004

-- U.S. Rep. Lincoln Davis today announced a $500,000 grant from the Appalachian Regional Commission to be used by Fentress County for the construction of a sewer system for a new business park in Clarkrange.

"Developing infrastructure for economic development is critical in Fentress County's efforts to provide better paying jobs," Davis said. "This will be another tool we can use to market the county as a viable location for industrial development."

The funds will be used to construct over 28,000 linear feet of force mains. They will also be used to construct 30,000 cubic yards of sewer lagoons and install 10,000 square yards of clay liner. Local sources will contribute $500,000 for a total project cost of $1,000,000.
