(Washington, D.C.) – Today, U.S. Representative Sue Myrick (NC-9) was awarded with a "Tax Fighter Award" for the 108th Congress.  This award was given by The National Tax Limitation Committee. 

Rep. Myrick received this award due to her leadership and outstanding public service on behalf of America's taxpayers.  Myrick scored a 97 percent rating based on votes the National Tax Limitation Committee deemed important to taxpayers.

 The National Tax Limitation Committee was organized in 1975.  It seeks constitutional and other limits on taxes, spending and deficits at the federal, state, and local levels of government.  The rating period used for the 108th Congress was January 2003 through August 2004.
