Congressman Jim Saxton Supporting Natural Resources in New Jersey's 3rd District

Dear Friend,

As the elected representative for the beautiful and diverse Third Congressional District of South Jersey, I have been engaged in ocean and wildlife conservation issues. The Third District includes three large bays, a string of barrier islands, fishing industries, a National Wildlife Refuge, a wilderness area, numerous rivers and a half million acres of the Federal Pinelands Reserve, commonly called the “Pine Barrens.”

We all have an obligation to be good stewards of the environment. As you may know, I was chairman of the House Fisheries Conservation, Wildlife and Oceans Subcommittee between 1994-2000, and was the Vice Chairman of the House Fish and Oceans Subcommittee from 2001-2006. Today, as the No. 2 Ranking Member of the Natural Resources Committee, I plan to continue working on this challenge.

This Website has some of my more recent activities on environmental matters, and some links to pertinent sites. If you are a Third District constituent, please feel free to contact me on any federal issue.

All the best,

Jim Saxton
