Page Program

Pages are high school students who serve as support staff in the House of Representatives. Pages learn about the legislative process, participate in the day-to-day operations of the House and attend classes at the House Page School during the school year.

There are currently 72 house page positions, 48 for the majority party and 24 for the minority party. There are four page sessions per year, fall semester, spring semester, and two summer sessions. Pages must be sponsored by a Member of Congress and will be interviewed by the House Page Board. Because of the limited size of the page program, I am not always able to nominate a student page. Please contact my office to determine whether or not I am currently able to nominate a page.

If you are interested in becoming a page or have questions regarding the Page program, please contact my office via phone (202) 225-2605 or e-mail David Westbrook, david.westbrook@mail.house.gov.

Requirements

Pages must be at least sixteen years of age, have high school junior standing, and a 3.0 GPA for non-elective coursework. Students who have recently completed their sophomore or junior year of high school are also eligible to apply. Students must also provide:

  • Social Security Number
  • Parental Consent Form
  • Official Transcript of High School Grades
  • Written Essay
  • Resume of Extracurricular Activities
  • Three (3) Letters of Recommendation, one from a current teacher

More information can be found on the official House of Representatives Page Website.
