Immigration Our nation’s immigration system is broken. We need a comprehensive immigration plan that will both secure our borders and strengthen our economy. I support proposals such as AgJOBS to create an orderly guest worker program that would meet in the needs of the Central Coast’s businesses and protect American workers. I also believe we need legislation that creates a path to earned legalization that would allow those who played by the rules, learned to speak English, paid back taxes and fines, and maintained a clean criminal record to eventually become Americans, just as the millions who came before them did.
