Upton Statement on the Honorable John Dingell

WASHINGTON, DC - Congressman Fred Upton (R-St. Joseph) made the following statement today following Rep. Henry Waxman’s successful challenge over Michigan Rep. John Dingell for Chairman of the House Energy and Commerce Committee.

“Michigan has never known a more loyal and effective fighter for our state than John Dingell.  He has selflessly devoted his entire life to public service and the crusade to protect American workers.  He is a hero to me, and so many others … and we still have many battles ahead to fight together on behalf of Michigan and the nation.  John Dingell has been and will continue to be Michigan’s fierce guardian in Washington.”
