Moore's Homelessness Bill Set To Pass US House "Legislation Will Expand The Definition Of Homelessness"

WASHINGTON, DC- Later today the U.S. House of Representatives is expected to pass legislation, authored by Congresswoman Gwen Moore (WI) and Housing Subcommittee Chairwoman Maxine Waters (CA), which will reauthorize national homelessness aid programs for the first time in 14 years.  The measure would expand the statutory definition of homelessness by providing help to those in dire straits who are nonetheless ineligible for assistance under current law.
