My Washington, DC, office along with my Thousand Oaks and Solvang District Offices can provide a number of services, from assistance with federal agencies to arranging tours of select federal facilities in Washington, DC. Below is a synopsis of some of the services my offices can provide. More information is available by visiting the links at left.

• Trying to resolve a dispute with a federal agency can be time-consuming and frustrating. If you have a problem with a federal agency, my offices in Thousand Oaks and Solvang have a staff of trained caseworkers who will help you cut through the red tape.
• Each Member of Congress is given a limited number of vacancies to fill for each military academy. Nominees for appointment to the service academies are selected on a competitive basis, using criteria determined by the academies to be indicative of one’s potential for success as an Army Cadet, Navy Midshipman, Merchant Marine Midshipman, or Air Force Airman.
• The Congressional Award is the U.S. Congress’ award for young Americans. It is non-partisan, voluntary, and non-competitive. The program is open to all 14- to 23-year-olds.
• You may request that a U.S. flag be flown over the U.S. Capitol to commemorate a special event.
• My Washington office is able to provide tickets for several popular sites in Washington, DC. Tickets are limited, so please get requests in as soon as possible. Congressional tours are usually booked several months in advance.
• Because of the number of requests, and the limited resources of my office, we cannot research grant opportunities. But there are a number of House of Representatives resources available to help you research and obtain grants.
