Detroit, MI — Congresswoman Carolyn Cheeks Kilpatrick (13th District) issued the following statement regarding yesterday’s vote on the U.S. House Energy and Commerce Committee vote.
“This week in Washington, DC, Members of Congress voted, via secret ballot, on leadership positions to serve in the 111th Congress. I have and will always vote in the best interests of the constituents of Michigan’s 13th Congressional District and the citizens of the State of Michigan. As the only appropriator from the State of Michigan, I am committed to advocating for health care and environmental justice for all Americans.”
