"With a worldwide financial downturn affecting governments and businesses nationwide, Philadelphia faces a significant budget shortfall. Mayor Nutter has begun the difficult process of adjusting the budget to deal with this new reality. This will not be an easy task, but we support the Mayor in this effort, and urge Philadelphians to do the same. By working together, our city can rise above these difficult circumstances, and emerge as an example for cities all over the country."
