Privacy policy

Personal information about individuals who contact Jay is not shared, sold or disclosed to any entity outside of the congressional office without explicit prior authorization from the individual, with one exception. On very rare occasions, when it is necessary to accomplish a constituent's request, Jay may forward a copy of the constituent's correspondence to a different governmental agency. He always asks that the agency keep the constituent's information confidential.

When communicating with Jay, constituents often share their name and address. A copy of all correspondence with constituents is kept for Jay's records.

Jay respects your privacy. In addition to introducing legislation to protect privacy of your financial information, he has co-sponsored legislation to protect your medical privacy.
