ALTMIRE: BEAVER COUNTY FIRE DEPARTMENTS RECEIVE MORE THAN $276,000 TO IMPROVE OPERATIONS |

(Washington, D.C.) -- U.S. Congressman Jason Altmire (PA-04) today
announced that four fire departments in Beaver County will receive more
than $276,000 through the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s
Assistance to Firefighters Grant program. This funding will help fire
departments in Aliquippa, Beaver Falls, Hookstown, and New Brighton
improve their operations and safety.

presented Plextronics, Inc., with a check for $1.2 million. Plextronics
will use the funding to develop flexible and light-weight printed
electronics, including printed solar cells, for the U.S. military.
