Academy Nominations

Every year it is my honor to nominate a group of motivated young individuals for admission into one of the U.S. service academies:

U.S. Military Academy (West Point)
U.S. Naval Academy (Annapolis)
U.S. Air Force Academy (Colorado Springs))
U.S. Merchant Marine Academy (Long Island)
U.S. Coast Guard Academy (New London) - Congressional nomination not required

Competition for appointments is intense. Therefore, it is extremely important that you start the application process with your desired academy early. To find out the application process with the desired academy please visit one of the links listed above.

Eligibility requirements for congressional nomination are as follows:

1. You must reside in the 4th Congressional District
2. All required information must be received by December 1
3. You must be between 17 and 23 years of age on July 1 of the year you enter the academy
4. Unmarried, with no legal obligation to support a child or dependent
